OOTD: 90s Vibes

Hey hey, boys and girls!

Today, I'm going to start a new series on this blog entitled 'OOTD'. Now, those of you who are familiar with the fashion blogging and instagramming world will know that 'OOTD' stands for 'Outfit of the Day', and if you aren't one of those people, well now you know.  The main difference in content that this series is going to bring to my blog is that it will include pictures of me, myself and I. Yes kids, that means you get to see my personal every day fashion choices in all there iPhone captured, instagram filtered glory... Enjoyyyy!

I thought I'd start this series off with an everyday look, that I wear to campus, out with friends, even to a casual dinner. The look gives me serious '90s vibes' (all about those title links), and is extremely wearable and accessible for every Tom, Dick and Harry.

Mirror selfies will feature a lot in this series

The top is my absolute favourite item to wear as of late, it goes perfectly with every single outfit and a similar style can be found in a variety of colours in many different stores. This particular one, however, comes from my staple shop when searching for fashionable, yet affordable clothes and that's Topshop. The 'cold shoulder ribbed top' comes in at the fair price of £10, making it a steal considering how many times I plan on wearing it this Spring/Summer season.

The high-wasted jeans are also a favourite staple item in my Spring/Summer wardrobe and an item of clothing that I believe every girl should add to her collection. This particular style are also from Topshop and are called 'Joni Jeans'. Although some may see the £36 price tag a bit expensive for what are basically glorified jeggings, I think they are perfectly priced and an item I would definitely repurchase again in a different colour. However, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, New Look and Primark are sure to meet your needs.

Regarding accessories and makeup, I kept it pretty simple. I wore my colourful bracelets and Fossil watch, which I never leave the house without, and a simple pair of fabric oxfords in a peachy colour. I had second day hair, so just opted for the low-maintenance option of a high ponytail, which added to the 90s vibes. Makeup wise, I went for my everyday routine (post coming soon) but added black eyeliner and Mac's Media lipstick to 'dress up' the outfit.
