November Favourites

As we come to the end of November there is only one thing on my mind; CHRISTMAS!!!! I can't quite put into words how excited I am to go home for Christmas break to see my family, eat home cooked food and finally get some time to relax away from Uni. However, before I start the Christmas themed blog posts, I should probably get my November favourites done and dusted. So, without further ado..

Justin Bieber: Just like everybody else in the world right now, I am completely obsessed with Justin Bieber's new album. When Bieber first came onto the scene, I really wasn't much of a fan. However, since the release of 'What Do U Mean?' I have been so excited for his new album, and it did not disappoint. Every song is an absolute banger and I've had it on repeat ever since it's release. If you have somehow managed to avoid hearing the album yet, I highly recommend that you get onto Spotify or YouTube and give it a listen.

Nike Frees: I bought these trainers when I was in America with the intention of wearing them to the gym. However, they have now become my staple shoe when going to uni. They're ridiculously comfortable and super casual, whilst still looking pretty fashionable. I'd say the only negative part about these shoes is that they do not keep your feet warm in the slightest, so as long as you can deal with having slightly cold toes on your morning walk to uni, then buying these trainers will be the best decision you ever make.

Studying: Much to the contradiction of the title of this blog, I have actually really been enjoying studying recently. I think the main reason for this is that my extra hours in the library have actually been paying off. I had midterms this month and got pretty good marks in all of them, as well as my weekly assignments. It's obviously not been easy and I've been under a lot of stress recently, but overall, putting in effort and getting good grades as a result really motivates you and keeps your studying levels up.

New Look: New Look was one of the first 'fashionable' shops I started shopping in when my mum finally started letting me buy my own clothes. However, after a couple of years, I stopped buying from them and moved onto places like Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Urban Outfitters. Although, recently I have been loving New Looks range! Pretty much all of the outfits I wear to uni on a daily basis consist of their jumpers and I love how you get pretty good quality, fashionable pieces for a decent price. They also do a fab student discount!

Porridge: If you didn't quite get the message the first few times; it's absolutely freezing in England! Despite my love for Christmas, I am such a summer person and I just can't cope in cold weather. However, since I still need to venture out into the big, cold world five times a week, I've got a couple of tricks to make getting out of bed a little easier. The main one of these is the beautiful creation that is porridge. I personally just use instant, microwave porridge as I can't really afford anything else, or have the patience to wait for milk to heat up in a saucepan, but it is still just as good. If you need some porridge inspiration, I suggest checking out this buzzfeed article and prepare to drool.

So, there are my ultimate favourites for the month., tune in next month to see what my favourites are for December! It's Been A While...

After a successful two months of blogging, I guess I fell of the wagon pretty hard. So, where did I go? Let's catch up..

From the end of August until mid September I went to Florida with my family. I had great expectations to continue blogging during this time and had plans to do day in the life, ootd and summer fashion posts. However, I guess I just got distracted by my family, theme parks, shopping, amazing food and, of course, disney! I had a wonderful three weeks in Florida, a much needed break from uni, british weather and some my needed quality time with my family. Blogging went from my number one priority, to something I just never found the time to do.
Florida = Paradise
When I returned home, I had a very hectic week trying to quickly prepare to return to University to start my second year. I had very little time to buy all of the necessities I needed and of course see my friends and family one last time before I headed off for three months. Therefore, I again had no time to think about blogging, or anything else for that matter.

At the end of September, I moved into my own house and began my second year of university. For those who aren't familiar with the setup of the British uni system; second year is commonly known as the hardest and most stressful year. It is also the first year where every piece of work actually counts towards your final degree. This obviously meant that it was time to put my head down, attend lectures, meet deadlines and do everything I could to have a successful first term. This level of work and dedication was a big shock to my system (I mean, I called this blog 'the life of a teenage procrastinator' for a reason!). I've switched double vodkas for coffee and late nights of clubbing for late nights at the library. Putting this much effort into my studies naturally means that I have very little down time. Therefore, when I do let myself have a night off, it's spent catching up with friends, catching up with tv shows or catching up on sleep. Again, blogging is just rarely in the forefront of my mind...

However, I want that to change.

I originally created this blog as a form of procrastination, but over summer I really fell in love with blogging and felt that I was slowly finding my place in the blogging world. It really annoyed me that I fell out of the routine, but I can guarantee that I'm back! Well, at least until January exams..
