Summer Style: Gigi Hadid

The 'Style Series' is back, baby!

Gigi Hadid is a relatively new name in the fashion industry, but she has taken it by storm. She oozes style in her everyday clothes, as well as looking incredible on the runway and in her many commercial modelling. She was recently spotted showing off her natural style at the Montreal Grand Prix.

This outfit symbolises effortless and casual, but stylish summer fashion. Gigi wears a simple t-shirt dress from Micheal Kors, combined with Adidas trainers and an IRO leather jacket draped over her shoulders. The dress and trainers are extremely casual, especially as Gigi appears to be wearing no makeup and naturally styled hair. However, the nude leather jacket adds a more dressy element to the outfit, meaning it can be worn to a more formal event.

This is a look that can be easily replicated with cheaper alternatives from high street stores. T-shirt dresses can be bought from any store in a variety of different styles, colours and cuts. Meaning that everyone can find a fit to suit them. White trainers are also extremely accessible, with cheaper alternatives being available at a variety of prices from converse to Primarks own plimsolls. While the nude leather jacket may be hard to replicate, especially at an affordable price, it can be replaced with a basic black leather jacket, or a cardigan in suitable colour. Alternatively, the outfit could be worn without a jacket on a summer day, in order to keep the outfit super casual. Or, the trainers to could be replaced with a pair of heels, such as heeled oxfords, to dress it up further for a night out. Overall, Gigi rocks to causal summer style and I can't wait to see how her style develops with her rapidly growing career.

A Summer of Blogging

Hey, hey, hey...

In true Procrastinator fashion, I'm going to make a promise to you all that I may or may not keep. Today, that promise is; to blog at least twice a week for the entirety of my three month summer... Yep.

My summer holidays start on the 19th of June 2015, and end on the 25th September 2015, so just over three months. Now, this could allow a lot of time for procrastination, but I have a plan! This plan involves; exercising, shopping, working, healthy eating, learning to drive, seeing friends, going on adventures and blogging. The aim is to have a productive summer, and to share it with the beautiful people of the world wide web. You may be reading this thinking 'everyone makes the same promises every summer, it lasts two weeks and then you resort back to your bedroom, Netflix and ice cream'. It's the same negative, but somewhat realistic, outlook I also have every year, but this year's different. This year I am a university student, blessed with an unnecessarily long summer holiday, and I am determined to make the most of it!

So, If you want to follow this potentially wonderful, but most probably boring, summer then you are more than welcome. Keep checking back to see what I've got up to this summer, or sign up and follow to make sure you never miss a post.

Speak to you soon,
