So, what have I been doing for the past five months, you may ask...?
August was my last full month of summer holidays and it was definitely the busiest. I went to V Festival with my friends for a long weekend, I went to Florida with my family for a lovely three weeks away, and then had my usual commitments to meet. However, the most exciting thing to happen during August, happened on the 14th; A Level Results Day. Now, the observant among you would have noticed that I described this day as 'exciting', therefore rightly suggesting that my A Level results were a pleasant read and I am very proud to inform you that they were good enough to get me into my firm choice university and I am now an undergraduate Economics BA student. (*insert extreme freakout moment*)
September was also a pretty busy month. I returned to England about halfway through and had just over a week to buy everything I needed to take to university to with me, see my friends before everyone moved away and prepare myself for the next three months away from home. It was a strange month, knowing that my life was about to completely change, but almost being too busy to even think about it. I didn't even have time to get nervous until my mum and I embarked on the two hour trip to my student accommodation.
October and November were a bit of a blur of drinking too much alcohol, meeting loads of incredible people, going to lectures and just living the life of your average fresher. A couple of the standard highlights though were; meeting some wonderful people whom I am now lucky enough to call my best friends, fresher's week (not that I can remember a whole lot of it, oops..), Halloween and just having such an overwhelming sense of freedom and independence - it's safe to say that I don't suffer from homesickness in the slightest. I can see why a lot of people would not suit university and would quickly want to return home, but I absolutely love it and am so happy that I made the decision to go. Also, the prophecy that 'strict parents breed rebellious kids' is definitely true; the power of not having any parental supervision quickly went to my head!
December had slightly less partying than the previous two months as I actually had to knuckle down and get some work done before the end of the semester, although I still made it out at least twice a week. I continued to meet new people, and started hanging out with a potential bae (shocker!!). At the end of the semester I journeyed back home and spent a wonderful Christmas period with my family and some old friends, which is the stage I am at now.
So, there we have it, you are completely caught up in the past five months of my life. I really hope that this now leaves me in a position where I have refound my love for this blog and have the motivation to keep it going, but only time will tell. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and happy New Years, crazy to think that it's 2015 tomorrow!
Speak to you soon,
The Teenage Procrastinator.
