Just The Necessities... And A Bit Extra.

Before I head back to University this weekend, I decided to do a little bit of shopping. Originally, I had planed to just purchase the necessities; face wash, razors and so on... However, like most shopping trips, I purchase quite a lot more. So, here's a look at some of the items I treated myself to.

The Bare Necessities: In my defence, I didn't only treat myself on this shopping trip as I actually did purchase a few items that a girl just can't live without out. However, most of it is boring stuff that no one needs to see, so I thought I would just share a few items I got that you may have some interest in.

Trying out some new skincare
  • Simple Kind to Skin Facial Wipes - Boots - £2.00
  • Simple Kind to Skin Light Moisturiser - Boots - £4.50
  • Clearasil Rapid Action Gel Wash - Boots - £5.79
  • Clearasil Rapid Action Toner - Boots - £5.29
  • Garner Moisture Matte - Boots - £1.99
Makeup Treats: It wouldn't be a haul without a few of my favourite makeup items. The Clinique items are absolute staples in my makeup routine, although the rest of it are all recommendations that I have from friends and reviews from the beauty community here on blogger. Can't wait to try them out!
Makeup, Makeup, Makeup
  • Revlon Lash Potion - Boots - £9.99
  • Revlon Colourstay Liquid Eye Pen - Boots - £6.99
  • Clinique Airbrush Concealer - John Lewis - £19.00
  • Clinique Blended Face Powder - John Lewis - £23.00
  • Seventeen Gel Eyeliner - Boots - £3.99
My New Babies: In all honesty, I have never been much of a 'shoe girl' and have always preferred to splash the cash on clothes, only buying shoes that I actually need. However, today was clearly an exception to that rule. Steve Madden boots have been an obsession of mine for a few years now, but I could never bring myself to fork out £100 or more on a pair of shoes. Although, as I was strolling through House of Fraser, an pair of absolute beauties caught my eye and as they were on sale I just couldn't say no! The other pair are more of a staple shoe that I plan to wear with jeans when walking around campus, not quite as big a purchase as my boots, but still I lovely pair to add to my wardrobe.

Taylor Swift Speak Now era, anyone?
Finally getting on board with how fab this shoe style is
  •  Steve Madden Boots - House of Fraser - £49.00
  • Black Pumps - Topshop - £18.00
Winter Warmers: Even though many may see as the end of the winter season, in England it is just beginning. So, because of this fact, I decided to have a mooch round for a few winter fashion pieces that would keep me warm in the upcoming weeks.

Jumpers and Plaid scream Winter fashion
  • Plaid Skirt - Forever 21 - £12.00
  • Striped Jumper - Forever 21 - £13.99
New Look Today, New Look Tomorrow, New Look Forever: New Look was one of the first high street fashion stores that I shopped in when I was first getting into fashion and making my own clothing choices, and no matter how hard I try to drift away from them an experiment with other lines, their on trend looks and reasonable prices always drag me back. I picked up two pairs of jeans from university, as well a few other pieces for both winter and spring (I know, preparing early!)

The Overview

Beautiful and Bright

I'm ready for my close up

You can never have too many jeans and black skirts, right?
  • Printed Bodycon Dress - New Look - £12.99
  • Yellow Jumper - New Look - £17.99
  • Blue Skinny Jeans - New Look - £22.99
  • Black Acid Wash Jogging - New Look - £17.99
  • Black Bodycon Skirt - New Look - £12.99
So, there we have it - told you it was quite a haul. Although, trust me, I am a student and this kind of extensive spending is not a common occurrence, don't worry. I benefited from quite a few discounts thanks to my Student card too, so it's not all bad. I also picked up a few extra items form Boots, WHSmith and Victoria Secret, but I didn't include it in the haul due to my frustration at trying to take a flattering picture of a black bra, and the boringness of hauling a notebook.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year!
